ISC World University Ranking 2022 Released
Increasing Number of Iranian universities to 63 among universities in World University Ranking 2022 Top-list
ISC World University Ranking is one of the ranking systems that started ranking universities for the first time in 2018 by ISC Ranking Department with the aim of evaluating the universities of the country as well as Islamic countries at the world level. Accordingly, there are 2422 universities from 111 countries from 6 continents in ISC world ranking 2022, of which Iran has 63 universities.

ISC WUR is done without universities self-declaration, and based on this, a reliable database of ISC WUR has been formed. It is the way to guide the universities of Iran and other Islamic countries towards world-class universities.
ISC WUR Methodology
ISC, in order to rank the world universities in its criteria, considers the most important mission of universities which are research (with a weight of 60%), education (with a weight of 10%), international activities (with a weight of 15%) and technology and innovation (with a weight of 15%) and then evaluates universities. Besides, the number of university retractions is calculated with a negative score, which is included in a criteria called Negative Reputation. In ISC WUR universities that have published at least 850 degrees in Web of Science 2018-2020 will be considered.

World Universities Ranking In ISC WUR 2022
In ISC WUR 2022, there are 2422 top universities from 111 countries in 6 continents. In this ranking, three universities of Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Stanford University are ranked first to third, along with the University of California San Francisco, John Hopkins, Pennsylvania, California Los Angeles, Michigan, Washington Seattle, California Berkeley and California San Diego.
China with 373 universities, America 318 universities, India 120 universities, Japan 119 universities, England 100 universities, Turkey 90 universities, France 76 universities, Germany 73 universities, Brazil 70 universities, South Korea 67 universities, Iran 63 universities and Italy 62 universities are present in this ranking.
Internationally top ranking universities based on their origin countries are: the United States, England, China, Canada, Japan, France, South Korea, Denmark, Singapore, Australia, Switzerland and Belgium, Germany ranked, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Brazil, Taiwan, and Finland.
The global ranking of Islamic universities
In ISC WUR 2022, there are 347 universities from 28 Islamic countries, where Turkey with 90 universities and Iran with 63 universities have got the largest number.
Among other Islamic countries, Malaysia and Pakistan have 26 universities, Saudi Arabia has 25 universities, Egypt has 23 universities, Indonesia has 20 universities, Morocco has 11 universities, Tunisia and Nigeria have 8 universities, Algeria has 7 universities, Iraq, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates have 5 universities each , Bangladesh, Lebanon and Qatar each have 4 universities, Kazakhstan 3 universities, and other countries including Azerbaijan, Benin, Brunei, Cameroon, Kuwait, Oman, Palestine, Senegal, Sudan and Uganda have been ranked in this ranking.
