    Nazarbayev University in ISC World University Rankings 2019: An Overview

    Overall Performance of Nazarbayev University within OIC Region:

    Based on ISC World University Rankings 2019 overall rank, Nazarbayev University (rank= 1201-1400) together with 29 other universities ranked 78th among all OIC universities.

    Performance of Sultan Nazarbayev University in OIC/World within Each Criterion:

    I. Research Criterion

    Studying the performance of top OIC universities in Research criterion, Nazarbayev University, with the Research score of 57.3, ranked 105th among all OIC universities together with Helwan University, Adiyaman University,and Ondokuz Mayis University. King Abdulaziz University, King Abdullah University of Science & Technology, and King Saud University ranked 1st to 3rd respectively.

    At the global scale, and in Research criterion, the score obtained by Nazarbayev University was 57.3 (rank= 1424) (Figure 3).

    II. Education Criterion

    Studying the performance of OIC universities in Education criterion, Nazarbayev University, with the Education score of 1.3 ranked 159th among all OIC universities together with 79 other universities. Acibadem University, King Abdulaziz University, and Hitit University ranked 1st to 3rd respectively. At the global scale, and in Education criterion, the score obtained by Nazarbayev University was 1.3 (rank=1505) (Figure 4).

    III. International Activity

    Studying the performance of top OIC universities in International Activity criterion, Nazarbayev University with the International Activity score of 52.5 ranked 121st among all OIC universities. King Saud University, King Abdulaziz University, and Universiti Malaya ranked 1st to 3rd respectively.

    At the global scale, and in International Activity criterion, the score of Nazarbayev University was 52.5 (rank= 1243) (Figure 6).

    The last criterion in ISC World University Rankings 2019 is Innovation. Figure 7 shows the performance of top OIC universities in this criterion. Here, Nazarbayev University with the Innovation score of 3.9 ranked 29th among all OIC universities together with United Arab Emirates University and Universiti Teknologi Petronas. King Fahd University Of Petroleum & Minerals, King Saud University, and Middle East Technical University ranked 1st to 3rd respectively.

    At the global scale, and in Innovation criterion, the score of Nazarbayev University was 3.9 (rank= 922) (Figure 8).
