    Ankara University in ISC World University Rankings 2019: An Overview

    Overall Performance of Ankara University within OIC Region:

    Based on ISC World University Rankings 2019 overall rank, Ankara University (rank=601-700) together with eight other universities ranked 16th among all OIC universities (Figure 2).

    Performance of Ankara University in OIC/World within Each Criterion:

    I. Research Criterion

    Studying the performance of top OIC universities in Research criterion, Ankara University, with the Research score of 68.2, ranked 16th among all OIC universities. King Abdulaziz University, King Abdullah University of Science & Technology, and King Saud University ranked 1st to 3rd respectively.

    At the global scale, and in Research criterion, the score obtained by Ankara University was 68.2 (rank=685) together with Ecole Superieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de la Ville de Paris (ESPCI), Universidade de Brasilia, and Yeungnam University (Figure 3).

    II. Education Criterion

    Studying the performance of OIC universities in Education criterion, Ankara University, with the Education score of 5.9 ranked 60th together with Cairo University, Gazi University, and Shahed University among all OIC universities. Acibadem University, King Abdulaziz University, and Hitit University ranked 1st to 3rd respectively.

    At the global scale, and in Education criterion, the score obtained by Ankara University was 5.9 (rank=881) together with 28 other universities (Figure 4).

    III. International Activity

    Studying the performance of top OIC universities in International Activity criterion, Ankara University with the International Activity score of 69.2 ranked 22nd among all OIC universities. King Saud University, King Abdulaziz University, and Universiti Malaya ranked 1st to 3rd respectively.

    At the global scale, and in International Activity criterion, the score of Ankara University was 69.2 (rank=513) together with four other universities (Figure 5).

    IV. Innovation Criterion

    The last criterion in ISC World University Rankings 2019 is Innovation. Here, Ankara University with the Innovation score of 4.3 ranked 22nd together with Texas A&M University Qatar among all OIC universities. King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, King Saud University, and Middle East Technical University ranked 1st to 3rd respectively.

    At the global scale, and in Innovation criterion, the score of Ankara University was 4.3 (rank=864) together with 20 other universities (Figure 6).
