    Marmara University in ISC World University Rankings 2019: An Overview

    Overall Performance of Marmara University within OIC Region:

    Based on ISC World University Rankings 2019 overall rank, Marmara University (rank=801-900) together with six other universities ranked 34th among all OIC universities (Figure 2).

    Performance of Marmara University in OIC/World within Each Criterion:

    I. Research Criterion

    Studying the performance of top OIC universities in Research criterion, Marmara University, with the Research score of 65.1, ranked 38th together with Ihsan Dogramaci Bilkent University among all OIC universities. King Abdulaziz University, King Abdullah University of Science & Technology, and King Saud University ranked 1st to 3rd respectively.

    At the global scale, and in Research criterion, the score obtained by Marmara University was 65.1 together with 3 other universities (rank=858) (Figure 3).

    II. Education Criterion

    Studying the performance of OIC universities in Education criterion, Marmara University, with the Education score of 2.8 ranked 136th together with Uludag University and University of Yazd among all OIC universities. Acibadem University, King Abdulaziz University, and Hitit University ranked 1st to 3rd respectively.

    At the global scale, and in Education criterion, the score obtained by Marmara University was 2.8 (rank=1398) together with 7 other universities (Figure 4).

    III. International Activity

    Studying the performance of top OIC universities in International Activity criterion, Marmara University with the International Activity score of 62.1 ranked 45th among all OIC universities. King Saud University, King Abdulaziz University, and Universiti Malaya ranked 1st to 3rd respectively.

    At the global scale, and in International Activity criterion, the score of Marmara University was 62.1 (rank=762) together with 6 other universities (Figure 5).

    IV. Innovation Criterion

    The last criterion in ISC World University Rankings 2019 is Innovation. Here, Marmara University with the Innovation score of 2 ranked 68th together with Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University and University of Khartoum among all OIC universities. King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, King Saud University, and Middle East Technical University ranked 1st to 3rd respectively.

    At the global scale, and in Innovation criterion, the score of Marmara University was 2 (rank=1325) together with 27 other universities (Figure 6).
